A Wee Bit About Me

My name is Olivia McKearney and The O Word is my blog. It’s a safe space for me to share my blogs on film and TV reviews, lifestyle and popular culture. I love creating content, I love writing, playing around with Canva and SquareSpace, and attempting to create quality engaging content. I am in no way a graphic or UX designer, those guys are rock stars, but I am so proud that I’ve been able to get this site online with my very own domain name if you don’t mind.

I really wanted to channel my free time into something more productive than mindless scrolling of strangers’ content most of it which I found extremely frustrating and ridiculous. So, my content goal for my blogs is that they are entertaining, engaging, and reflective of me. All social channels are completely saturated today so if just one person read my blogs and had a little giggle or amusing thought, I would be delighted.

Two reels, one week - who am I 🥲 My new blog is available on The O Word for your viewing pleasure. This (last) week’s piece is all about Call Her Daddy and most notably the host Alex Cooper. I started off hating this show and due to casting changes and a different approach it’s turned out to be my favourite one on the internet. It’s always important to look back and see how far we have come in terms of our personal, emotional and professional growth. It’s easy to think that you’re the same person you always were. That you haven’t changed. But we change all the time. I know in myself that I am a totally different person than I was last year, two years ago and definitely three+ years ago. In many ways I’ve grown up despite not feeling like a grown up. I sometimes fall into the trap of thinking, and obsessing, over situations that happened in the past. I beat myself up for how I acted and responded to the situation but it’s done and nothing can change that. I have to remember that what happened in the past was a version of myself I am not now. We have many different versions of ourselves and that is completely normal. I’m trying to be the best version of myself… trying being the operative word. ✨ONE YEAR in Liverpool ✨ Can’t believe it took me and CM the most of last year to realise that we LIVE here and we’re NOT on our holidays every weekend…or maybe that’s why it’s been so fun 😂 So excited to see what year 2 has planned for me in this fabulous city 🤘🏼 This is a selection of my finer videos.
